For female teenagers & secondary school students in semi-rural communities.
About the Project
The Big Sister's Project is a targeted, high-impact youth development and mentorship initiative designed for female teenagers and secondary school students in semi-rural communities. Timed to coincide with the International Day of the Girl Child (October 2026), the project aims to bridge the aspiration gap for girls growing up far from the opportunities they deserve.
Through a three-part approach — a Creative Competition, a full-day Convening of 300+ girls across partnering schools, and a structured post-event Mentorship Cohort — the goal is simple: bring the city to them.
The Three Pillars
Semi-rural communities like Aiyetoro are frequently overlooked by youth development programmes. The girls here are bright, connected and full of potential — but they are growing up without access to the spaces that shape ambition.
"Disrupt the cycle. Shatter limiting beliefs. Give them a concrete picture of what is possible."
How It Works
Attendance
Attendance is through participating schools — no public registration form. If you are a student, teacher or parent in Aiyetoro and want to know how to get involved, send us a message directly.

Individual Support
You do not need to be a corporation to show up for a girl child. Whether you are putting in for one girl's spot or sponsoring a whole category — there is a seat at this table for you.
Every girl in that room deserves to be there. Your ₦5,000 makes sure one more of them is. It is that simple — and that powerful.
Step in as a Big Mummy and own a piece of what makes this conference unforgettable. Think: the competition prizes, catering, swags, logistics, photography, media — or something equally important that you bring to the table.

Corporate and Brand Partners
October 11 is the International Day of the Girl Child — one of the most visible CSR moments on the calendar. We are hosting the Big Sisters Conference on October 16 in its honour. Organisations that partner with us are not buying an ad slot. They are investing in 300 girls and in a community that will remember who showed up.
Aiyetoro is a growing rural-urban market that most brands have not touched yet. First-mover advantage here is real and lasting.
A full partnership proposal with tier breakdowns, deliverables and budgets is available on request.
Every partner receives brand visibility, access to 300 girls and the Aiyetoro community, social media coverage, and a post-event impact report. Full details are in our proposal deck.

Somewhere in Aiyetoro is a girl who has no one in her corner — no professional woman in her life, no one to ask the real questions, no model of what is possible beyond what she sees on her phone. You could be that person for her.
Being a Big Sister is not a big ask. It is a few intentional hours given to a girl who will carry the impact for years.
1 to 2 hours over 4 weeks post-event, then one check-in per month for 2 months. Everything closes by January 2027. Virtual, flexible and fully supported.
